The International Esperanto Institute (IEI) is a foundation in The Hague that has been promoting Esperanto locally and worldwide since 1930. Since 1933, it has been located in the Cseh House at Riouwstraat 172, a centre for intercultural encounters.

The IEI organises courses, lectures and events on the language and culture of Esperanto at the Cseh House. Visitors range from local residents with no prior knowledge to international students. Many activities take place in the library, where books on language teaching and the history of Esperanto are also published and sold.

The institute owes its name to Andreo Cseh, co-founder and creator of a direct teaching method in which Esperanto is learned without the use of the mother tongue. In the 1930s, the IEI trained more than 400 teachers, many of whom travelled throughout Europe to teach.
