A Shared Responsibility

What role do we ourselves play in creating an inclusive society? During The Hague Women’s Days 2026, organised by The Hague University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague, students, staff members and other interested participants will come together to reflect on this question.

The programme revolves around the theme A Shared Responsibility, emphasising that real change requires everyone’s involvement. Equal opportunities and gender equality are not issues that concern only a small group; they are societal challenges that affect us all.

This afternoon places collective responsibility at its core. Together—women, men and non-binary people; students, staff, organisations and communities—we will explore how we can contribute to a society in which everyone is seen, heard and represented.

The theme A Shared Responsibility highlights that inequality does not only affect women, but also impacts our democracy, institutions and public space. Inclusion is therefore not an individual issue, but a collective task.
