What are the consequences of the war for the world and for Iranians?
The American and Israeli attacks on Iran and the death of Ayatollah Khamenei have plunged the country and the region into chaos. Will the Iranian regime survive this war? And if it remains in power, what does this war mean for the future of the country and the Middle East?
Middle East expert and Iran expert Paul Aarts examines the consequences for the region and explains the power structures within the Ayatollah's regime.
Annette van Soest also talks with Shermin Chavoushi about the Iranian people. How united are the Iranians about their future?
Paul Aarts is a Middle East expert affiliated with the University of Amsterdam and led a student exchange program with Iranian universities for many years.
Shermin Chavoushi is a journalist and Iranian-Dutch citizen.
