The Werkgroep Geloven in Groen (Faith in Green Working Group) of the Hague Community of Churches joins the National Climate Week 2025 with the “Voice of Nature” Festival on Saturday, 15 November, at the Christus Triumfatorkerk conference center in The Hague.
The festival offers a vibrant and inspiring program, featuring Semuel Sahureka from the Moluccan Indigenous community as keynote speaker, performances by choir Jan en Alleman and a reed flute player, as well as creative and interactive workshops and an information market showcasing green initiatives from The Hague. Snacks, drinks, and opportunities to connect are available — and there’s plenty to enjoy for kids too!
In the climate debate, many human voices are heard — political, scientific, and technological voices seeking to control nature. This festival invites us instead to listen to the voice of nature — the more-than-human world — and to remember that we are nature ourselves. It’s a space to allow climate grief, but above all, to nurture hope and celebrate our deep interconnectedness with all living things. Because everything that exists has a right to live.
