Police Stories in the Archives

The Hague municipal police existed for nearly 200 years. In 1994, the local Hague police merged into the Haaglanden force. The municipal police archive is kept at The Hague Municipal Archives. How did Hague officers behave during difficult times, such as the occupation, during the Second World War? And what was their role after the war? Using the many documents in the archive, Raymund Schütz tells the story of The Hague municipal police during and after the Second World War.
