Exhibition Israel and Palestine: Pain and Hope

  • Date: 17 June - 27 June
  • Time: 13:00 - 18:00
  • Location: Herberg van Menselijkheid

The search for peace begins with listening.

How do we continue to see and hear each other in a conflict that brings with it so much pain, sorrow, and division?

The exhibition Israel/Palestine: Pain and Hope brings together photographs, artworks, and personal stories that make the human consequences of the conflict visible. The exhibition shows both pain and resilience and invites visitors to reflect on the question of how understanding, encounter, and connection remain possible, precisely when perspectives differ.

In addition to the exhibition, various dialogue evenings will take place with journalists, researchers, artists, and peacebuilders. Together, they explore themes such as listening, living together, peace, and hope.

The exhibition is organized by the Dutch network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, in collaboration with various civil society organizations.
On June 18, the exhibition will be officially opened with contributions from, among others, Mohammed Zanoun, Mariëlle Vavier, Wim Deetman, Asjer Waterman, Mohammed el-Baz, Hanneke Gelderblom-Lankhout, and curator Dr. Afaf Badran.
