Honeyland

A Macedonian beekeeper lives in isolation with her ailing mother in a remote mountain village, practicing sustainable beekeeping and living by the principle of “half for me, half for you.” Her peaceful life is disrupted when a nomadic family moves in nearby, whose unsustainable practices threaten the delicate balance between humans and nature.

We discuss the Oscar-nominated Honeyland with Samir Ljuma, cinematographer of this stunning documentary, and Diana Francês, advisor at WWF Netherlands. Moderator: Melinda van Streun (Humanity Hub).

The Hague Climate Week - 10 t/m 16 november 2025
Filmhuis Den Haag, Movies That Matter and Humanity Hub are jointly presenting films and discussions during The Hague Climate Week. We will reflect on climatic developments and, in particular, their social impact with one fiction film, one documentary and two panel discussions with prominent guests
